I am a Ramón y Cajal Research Scientist at the Forest Research Center of CSIC-INIA (Madrid, Spain). My research is focused on the effect of climate and other environmental factors on forest ecosystems by using growth and gap models, forest inventory data, and different dendrochronological proxies. I am particularly interested in the interactions between climate and forest ecosystem dynamics and disturbances and how they affect forest composition and carbon dynamics.

My main areas of work are the temperature forests of the Caucasus, the Mediterranean and other parts of Europe, and Eastern North America.

Since 2018, I am an Associate Editor of the journal Dendrochronologia.
